Interests:
At University I have been involved with the student newspaper, Huddersfield Student. I started a quirky cookery column, which I wrote in addition to a number of other articles. Recently I have helped organise the Media school graduation ball and produced posters to promote the event.

I have written a personal blog for more than four years and possess a keen interest in web design. I have taught myself to use Macromedia Dreamweaver and Fireworks, and have acquired a good understanding of computer languages including CSS, JavaScript and HTML.

Whilst at Sixth Form I took part in Young Enterprise and carried out the role of ICT and Marketing Director. This role involved creating and managing a website and online shop, as well as designing and distributing promotional material.

At school I gained both the Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh awards by taking part in extracurricular activities, which included volunteering at the Roy Castle charity shop in Formby and attending the Formby School of Performing Arts, where I trained for shows and various recital competitions locally.

For many years I have been involved with the 5th Formby (URC) Scout Group. During this time I have taken part in and organised gang shows and other fund raising events.
